Phil Carpenter
Photojournalist
Phil Carpenter came to Global News in 2017 after working as a photojournalist and videojournalist at the Montreal Gazette for 13 years.
He also works as a part-time instructor of visual journalism at Concordia University in Montreal.
Phil has worked in journalism for over 20 years and has covered major news events at home and overseas, including the Haiti earthquake, post-genocide stories in Rwanda and the Lac-Mégantic train disaster, all for the Montreal Gazette.
Working at Global News is his first experience in TV journalism.
