Michelle Butterfield
Michelle has been working in journalism for more than a dozen years, first covering crime and breaking news for The Calgary Herald, and more recently as the Western Canada news correspondent and viral news editor for HuffPost Canada.
For the past 15 years Michelle has called Calgary home, but her heart equally belongs in her home province of Nova Scotia. Her love of both places is reflected in her ability to whip up a delicious batch of either borscht or seafood chowder, depending on the day.
When she’s not busy chasing the stories of the day, Michelle is chasing after her two young children, running a small fibre arts business, volunteering in her community and advocating for young women living with breast cancer.
